Mathnasium is a math-only supplementary learning center committed to teaching children math so that they understand it, master it, and love it. Using the proprietary Mathnasium Method along with individual curriculum and interactive teaching constructs, we offer customized learning plans for each student to provide assistance whether they are far behind or already ahead in math. Mathnasium of Long Beach Los Altos is currently seeking an Assistant Center Director to help oversee center operations, work with students and parents, and manage a team of instructors.

Job Responsibilities:
Support the Center Director in administering student assessments and developing student learning plans
Assist with sales responsibilities, including promptly responding to leads and successfully enrolling students
Provide exceptional customer service by building relationships with families and communicating student progress
Assist in execution of local marketing and networking activities
Lead and coach team members to effectively deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
Manage students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
Mentor and support employee development by providing on-the-job training to instructional staff
Teach/tutor in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Passion for math and working with students
Proven leadership skills and experience in a management or supervisory role
Superb organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and manage time effectively
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service focus
Eagerness to learn and be trained
Ability to cultivate teamwork and balance education and sales responsibilities
Exceptional math competency through at Algebra I
Proficiency in computer skills
All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
Work hours vary, but could include combination of weekdays (12pm-7pm) and/or weekends (11am-3pm). Extensive training is provided. Salary based on qualifications and previous experience.
Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing, LLC ("Mathnasium"). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus, each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center, the franchisee will be your employer, not Mathnasium.
