    Position Summary

    The Assistant Clinical Director plays a key leadership role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and clinical compliance within A Passionate Helping Hand Home Health Care LLC. This individual will work closely with the Clinical Director to oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage staff performance, and enhance the quality of care provided. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background in home health care, excellent clinical judgment, and a passion for serving patients in a home setting.

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Oversight & Patient Care

    Assist the Clinical Director in overseeing all clinical aspects of home health care services, ensuring the highest quality standards.

    Monitor patient care plans and ensure they are tailored to meet each patient’s needs.

    Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, therapists, and home health aides.

    Conduct patient assessments and participate in care planning meetings as needed.

    Serve as a resource for complex patient cases, providing recommendations and interventions to optimize patient outcomes.

    Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

    Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.

    Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical policies and procedures that align with industry best practices.

    Participate in internal audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation processes.

    Address and resolve patient or family concerns regarding care quality in collaboration with the Clinical Director.

    Staff Supervision & Training

    Support the hiring, training, and supervision of clinical staff, ensuring they adhere to agency policies and standards.

    Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and develop professional growth opportunities for staff.

    Assist in organizing ongoing training programs to ensure clinical staff remain current with best practices and regulatory requirements.

    Serve as a mentor and resource for clinicians, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.

    Operational & Administrative Duties

    Assist with scheduling, case assignments, and workflow coordination to optimize efficiency.

    Collaborate with the Clinical Director in managing budgets, resources, and clinical expenditures.

    Support the agency’s mission by participating in community outreach and patient education programs.

    Work closely with other departments, including human resources, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Education & Licensure

    Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical licensure (e.g., Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist) in the state of Indiana.

    Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field required; Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

    Experience

    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in home health care, hospice, or a related healthcare setting.

    At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a clinical setting.

    Skills & Competencies

    Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    In-depth knowledge of home health regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid guidelines and accreditation standards.

    Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and general computer applications.

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
