    Job Description

    The Leeding Builders Group, an entity of AECOM, has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Construction Project Manager for our ongoing construction projects in New York City.

    • Under moderate supervision assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large size and scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks.
    • Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training.
    • May interface with design team.
    • May work closely with BIM team and use modelling software.
    • May interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues.
    • Assists with and monitors change orders.
    • May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
    • Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract.
    • Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate.
    • Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed.
    • May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirement:

    • BA/BS Engineering, Construction Management or similar curriculum and two years of relevant construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
    • Experience working for a large General Contractor.
    • Ability to navigate construction sites and interface with various project members.
    • Knowledge of basic construction principles.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
    • Ability to work independently, exercising acceptable protocols and construction site safety.
