    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Assistant Controller will support the financial management of our organization by assisting with financial reporting, budget forecasting, analysis, month-end close and reconciliation, while ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting standards and regulations. In addition, the candidate will perform daily transactional accounting tasks to include AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation and payroll processing. This role offers the opportunity for growth and succession planning to the Controller position in the future.

    Duties / Responsibilities:

    Perform monthly financial close functions, through preparation of financial statements for each entity within the organization;

    Prepare annual financial budgets;

    Prepare detailed budget, income, or expenditure reports;

    Complete monthly financial projection analysis;

    Evaluate and assess internal controls and operating results, including analysis of budget to actual results; present cost reduction recommendations to management;

    Maintain accurate records and entries for AR, AP and GL;

    Perform monthly bank reconciliations;

    Perform monthly GL account reconciliations;

    Prepare and process payroll via Gusto;

    Assist accounting department with daily, monthly and annual accounting tasks;

    Maintain accurate and complete records, including ledgers, invoices and receipts;

    Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure billing charges are accurate and payments received promptly;

    Review month / year-end financial reports;

    Communicate with healthcare providers to verify their account metrics and year-to-date results;

    Participate in ongoing education opportunities to maintain current industry trends and developments;

    Provide training to non-financial personnel on internal control compliance and accounting procedures;

    Assist with tax document preparation;

    Ensure healthcare providers’ invoices and bills are paid in a timely manner and reports are prepared and sent to them monthly;

    Perform special projects, as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    At least 4 years of proven experience within a similar senior accounting position;

    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline, with at least 12 credit hours in accounting coursework, required;

    MBA or CPA certification, preferred

    Proficiency with GAAP standard accounting standards and procedures;

    Proficiency with Sage accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct, a plus;

    Proficiency with payroll processing systems; experience with Gusto, a plus;

    Proficiency with MS Office 365, with intermediate/advanced Excel skills;

    Experience with Salesforce and Stripe, a plus;

    Proficiency in reviewing financial statements and accounting-related reports;

    Astute analytical / quantitative capabilities, time management, attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, planning, effective multi-tasking, problem-solving, follow-through, customer service skills and ability to work to tight deadlines;

    Ability to work effectively alone and within a collaborative team environment.

    Compensation:

    $95,000 - $125,000 (DOE) annual base salary range, for this full-time, exempt position.

    8:00AM – 5:00PM Monday – Friday
