HCT seeks an experienced financial leader to serve as the Interim Assistant Controller for a 500+ bed hospital in Illinois. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the day-to-day accounting operations including functional oversight of the month-end financial close, financial audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the financial statements of the hospital and various affiliates in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as the oversight of those areas/processes contributing to the accuracy of the financial statements as evidenced by the results of the annual audit process.
- Direct oversight of General Accounting (includes Project Accounting and Fund Accounting), External Billing, Payroll, and Accounts Payable.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required in Accounting/Finance/Business. MBA Preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of ten years of hospital/healthcare finance and accounting experience required. A minimum of five years of management experience required.
- Certifications: CPA/MBA preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
- Computer Skills: Epic, advanced information systems and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required.
