Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller with a strong background in the construction industry to join our finance team. In this role, you will manage our project accounting team and oversee financial processes for various projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. A successful candidate will bring expertise in financial management, a deep understanding of construction accounting, and familiarity with tools like Procore and Sage.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project accountants, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Directly account for the financial aspects of multiple key construction projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in all reporting.
- Coordinate with project teams to provide financial insights that guide project decisions and budgets.
- Utilize Procore and Sage software to streamline financial processes, reporting, and project cost management.
- Assist CFO in developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews of financial statements and project reports to monitor and mitigate risks.
- Assist CFO in collaboration with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for upcoming projects.
