Position Summary:

Are you looking to help lead the newest child development school in the Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch , Sarasota area? Are looking to lead in a school that has a set educational curriculum, offers professional development and is a place where kids have fun learning? Do you want to lead in a school were we work as a team and support each other on a daily basis? Then Discovery Point Twelve Oaks wants you! As an Assistant Director you will provide a safe learning environment and a quality education program for children. You will be responsible for the effective operation of the child development center in the absence of the director and/or owner which includes recruiting and managing staff, establishing and meeting enrollment and revenue objectives, providing ongoing communication with parents, coordinating curriculum with teachers, scheduling, opening and closing of school and cost management of the school.

Qualifications:

Experience as an assistant director in a licensed child care center

Previous supervisory experience or experience providing work direction

Must have, or be able to obtain a commercial driver’s license, CPR/Fire Safety, and any other training required by regulatory agencies

Knowledge of child care licensing rules and regulations

Knowledge of early childhood education curriculum

Implement lesson plans for teachers

Weekly scheduling for teachers

Must be able to meet state background check requirements.
