    The Goddard School® located in Raleigh, NC on Creedmoor Road is looking for a motivated, self-starter for a Director position at our School. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of a developmentally appropriate learning program for young children. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to motivate and inspire others.

    The director's responsibilities include the following:

    Overseeing the operations of the School, specifically focusing on educational programming, relationship building, faculty training & development, and quality assurance

    Complying with state childcare licensing regulations

    Complying with GSI standards

    ITERS and ECERS understanding and preparations

    Using a growth mindset to train, coach, and develop the School for the future

    Developing strong relationships with our families

    Welcome all families daily with a positive and up beat attitude

    Conduct meetings with families when needed

    Managing accurate records to meet the State and GSI requirements for both student and Teacher files.

    Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment

    Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills

    Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education

    Manage daily classroom scheduling and weekly Teacher scheduling

    Per state requirements and GSI standards perform emergency drills monthly, quarterly, and yearly. For example fire drills, intruder, tornado, and EPR drills.

    Maintain school snack and supplies inventory

    Assist in the hiring process of new teachers.

    Train New teachers per state and GSI requirements

    Professional Development

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    An inspirational leader and team builder

    Proactive about building relationships with new families and maintaining high enrollment to make sure the students have access to the best curriculum available

    Organized and able to multitask, strategically resolves challenges, and has a great attitude

    Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement

    Experience with working in a Child Care Setting

    Patience, understanding, and compassionate towards the children and the Teachers
