    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Child Care to join our team! As the Assistant Director of Child Care, you will be responsible for selecting age-appropriate programs, activities, and curricula for the children in our care. You will also support the current staff, manage scheduling and office supplies, bring positive communication to the team, and implement new strategies to grow and expand our outreach. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of DCF rules and regulations and Early Learning Coalition.

    Responsibilities

    Ensure that we are always in compliance with DCF rules and regulations and The Early Learning Coalition.

    Manage staff expectations and handle any issues, including scheduling and interpersonal conflicts that may arise

    Review and approve all lesson plans, printed materials, bulletin announcements, and newsletters

    Plan extra-curricular activities, including in-house entertainment

    Maintain staff and children files updated according to DCF Rules and regulations

    Qualifications

    Director's credential is a must, associate or bachelor’s degree in education is preferred

    Minimum of three-years' experience working with administration of Early education

    Deep understanding of child development, and education

    Demonstrated experience managing a team.
