Assistant General Manager
A highly accoladed restaurant in Venice is hiring an Assistant General Manager to lead a professional hospitality team.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for operations of the restaurant, which may include overseeing the staff, monitoring inventory, purchasing equipment, and supplies, and ensuring quality customer service and compliance with all food and beverage regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of chef-driven restaurant experience
- Proven ability to train and lead a great team
- Understanding of operating procedures FOH & BOH
- Wine and spirits knowledge
- Passion for culinary and hospitality excellence
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manager training programs are in place and followed
- Recruit qualified staff using approved selection, interviewing, and hiring procedures
- Performance evaluations are conducted timely on all managers and employees
- Development plans are in place for all managers
- Service training processes are in place and followed
- Leads team with a positive, professional attitude that portrays confidence
- Serves as a role model by setting high standards for self and others
- Sales and cash controls are in place and utilized
- Inventories are accurate and at the proper levels
- Financial deviations are correctly immediately
- Service standards are achieved
- Management on floor presence is apparent during operations
- Guest feedback is responded to timely
- Timing standards are achieved
- Open/closing/cleaning checklists are in place and utilized
- Leads and directs the work of others
- All other responsibilities as dictated by the business or assigned by the Senior Management
