Key Responsibilities: As the Assistant General Manager, you will support the General Manager in all daily functions, particularly around sales and team leadership. You will play an integral role in maintaining the facility's exceptional reputation and ensuring growth.
Sales Leadership
Assist in driving and managing high-ticket sales of personal training and memberships.
Be an influential closer—able to walk in and immediately begin assisting with converting leads into clients.
Set appointments and ensure high show rates through follow-up calls, personalized videos, and relationship-building.
Overcome objections and guide prospects through the decision-making process with empathy and determination.
Team Leadership
Support weekly one-on-one meetings and team meetings, ensuring that all staff members are informed, motivated, and accountable.
Collaborate closely with the General Manager to ensure the team is hitting performance goals, meeting KPIs, and growing the facility's success.
Lead by example: first one in, last one out.
Operations Management
Oversee the front desk and daily check-ins, ensuring that every member has a world-class D1 Training experience.
Support the maintenance of clean, organized, and functional equipment and facilities.
Assist in retail management, ensuring that products are stocked and reported accurately.
Client Engagement & Community Building
Act as a key point of contact for members, fostering strong relationships through great communication and excellent customer service.
Engage with the local community via social media, special events, and outreach activities to increase brand awareness and bring in new leads.
Financial Oversight
Collaborate with the General Manager on financial reports, including the monthly review of budget versus actual performance and key financial metrics.
Support P&L management with a focus on facility profitability and growth.
A REAL DAY IN THE LIFE OF THIS ROLE: You start the day early, meeting the General Manager to review sales targets and appointments for the day. The facility is already buzzing with energy as athletes and fitness enthusiasts walk through the door. You greet each member with a smile, assist with check-ins, and ensure your sales appointments are locked in for the day.
Throughout the day, you're fully engaged in sales meetings, helping prospects understand how D1 Training can change their lives. When they raise objections, you're ready to overcome them, making sure every interaction is personal and leaves a lasting impression.
In the afternoon, you shift gears to review sales data and staff performance with the General Manager, discussing how to improve conversion rates and push the team toward higher results. You might run a short staff meeting, going over key action points for the day while motivating your team to hit their goals.
By the end of the day, you're following up with leads, managing the facility's day-to-day operations, and ensuring everything is on track for tomorrow. You feel proud, knowing you’re helping drive success at one of the most exciting fitness facilities in the country.
Qualifications:
2+ years of high ticket sales and management
Can out-sell anyone in the room & loves it
Knowledge of gym and retail operations
Positive and energetic personality with a “can do” attitude
Is a manager who will be the first one in & the last one to leave
