  • Responsibilities

    We’re seeking a new Assistant General Manager at Timber Pizza in Raleigh. We are growing in the Raleigh area, and we hope this individual will grow into the general manager role. As the AGM, you are responsible for your store’s living out Timber Pizza’s mission of providing amazing experiences to the Timber Fam. You are responsible for supporting the General Manager in managing guest service team members and ensuring your store runs smoothly. You will support your General Manager in all aspects of management.

    • General Business Operations
      • Support your General Manager in managing all information systems related to invoicing, staffing, inventory, etc.
      • Oversee and manage inbound orders to the restaurant's kitchen
      • Follow budgets to ensure the long-term success of the restaurant

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Manager On Duty
      • Act as Manager on Duty when General Manager is not working
    • Food Quality
      • Be a Food Expert
      • Ensure all staff is following recipes
      • Support ordering & procurement of Timber approved products
    • Processes & Systems
      • Follow processes & procedures provided by Timber Home Office (inventory, opening/closing checklists, etc.)
    • Safety & Health
      • Follow all local, state, and federal food safety procedures

        Personnel

    • Staffing
      • Develop multiple hourly level supervisors to allow for delegation of duties/tasks
      • Train staff to meet Timber Pizza Company service standards
      • Consistently relay staffing needs and any team member issues to the GM
    • FinancialUnderstand the financial goals of the restaurant and make management decisions based on these goals

    Marketing / Sales

    • Community Involvement
      • Work with Timber Home Team to identify opportunities to work with local community alongside General Manager and Ownership
      • Execute local marketing initiatives to drive sales & build customer loyalty
    • Store ImageResponsible for store reputation in the market (positive digital ratings, positive customer & community sentiment)

    Accountabilities

    • Keeps General Manager and Ownership promptly and fully informed of all the issues (i.e., problems, unusual matters of significance, and positive events) and takes prompt

      corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action

    • Completes job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective

      manner and following Timber Pizza Company’s policies and procedures

    • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and

      promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to

      maximum employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness

    • Constantly provides a favorable image of Timber Pizza Company to promote its philosophy. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested

    Qualifications and Attributes

    • Pleasant, polite, and well-mannered with guests, employees, vendors, etc.
