    Full time or part time available. Hourly pay based on experience and performance.

    Job function – Daily prep of all food items according to our menu. Line Cook for current menu, and preparing/executing banquet event orders for private parties of 30-50.

    The ideal candidate must be organized, personable and positive in working with other staff and management.

    Responsible for kitchen and line setup, organization, cleanliness of work area and to uphold the quality of food standards set by the executive chef.

    Prepares all required items according to prep list.

    Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

    Prepares items in accordance with established portion controls and presentation guidelines.

    Executes the menu (cooking of appetizers, soups, entrees) with efficiency. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.

    Promotes positive guest relations, making every effort to accommodate any guest's reasonable request.

    Assists in food ordering, delivery and storage. Inventory and Scheduling.

    Ensures that food products are rotated and utilized before spoilage occurs.

    Covers, dates, labels, neatly stores products. Maintaining a high standard of organization, cleanliness, FIFO (first in first out), labeling, temperature control, and walk-in coolers.

    Stays productive during slower times by cleaning stations and prepping for upcoming reservations.

    Cleans and sanitizes equipment, ensures that work area and storage areas are cleaned and maintained.

    Notifies management as soon as product shortages are noticed.

    Keeps count of supplies and equipment. Maintains appropriate par levels of supplies, to include placing product orders.

    Maintaining highest level of sanitation standards at all times. Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations.

    Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times.

    Properly shuts down the kitchen upon closing. Turning off ovens and other heating equipment.

    Makes recommendations for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all kitchen areas.

    Maintaining security practices for all food and equipment supply inventories.

    The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job.

    Ability to interact positively with management, coworkers, and customers to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.

    Ability to come to work regularly and on time, to follow directions, to be a team player.

    Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy restaurant times.

    Ability to work on your own.

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and volume.

    Ability to walk, stand and/or bend continuously to perform essential job functions.

    Physical Requirements-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

    Requirements:

    · 2 years experience as a line cook or prep cook

    · Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

    · Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

    · Familiar with industry’s best practices

    Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience
