Job Summary:
The Assistant Maintenance and Janitorial Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of common areas, performing routine maintenance tasks, and assisting the Lead Maintenance and Janitorial Supervisor with various projects. This role is essential in ensuring aesthetic upkeep for a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents and guests. This position is an even split between daily janitorial duties and maintenance upkeep.
Responsibilities:
- Vacuuming and mopping hallways and corridors.
- Clean Community Kitchen, Clubroom, Lobby and all common restrooms, showers, fitness center, patio area, saunas, etc.
- Exterior cleanup including parking areas, front entrance, and trash ramp.
- Elevator setup and breakdown for freight use as needed.
- Ongoing maintenance: Lightbulb changes, vent cleanings, painting projects, etc.
- Special deep cleaning projects as needed.
- Patio setup and breakdown as needed for community events, prepping for Summer and winterization in late Fall.
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor with projects, big and small.
- Time-sensitive maintenance work like mitigating water in the event of a leak, helping Maintenance supervisor with diagnostics, working with third-party vendors if Maintenance supervisor is busy, etc.
- General knowledge of hand tools and power tools for small repairs and diagnostic work.

Qualifications:
- •High school diploma or equivalent.
- •1-2 years of experience in janitorial or maintenance roles.
- •Basic understanding of maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- •Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- •Friendly disposition and comfortable working in a front-facing roll
- •Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- •Willingness and eagerness to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the role.
- •Reliable transportation
- •Ability to lift or move 50 pounds variable distances.
