    The Assistant Banquet Manager at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional event experiences. This position involves overseeing the setup, execution, and breakdown of events while ensuring outstanding service for clients and guests. Working closely with the Banquet Manager and an experienced team, the Assistant Banquet Manager ensures every detail is executed flawlessly, aligning with the hotel’s reputation for excellence. Responsibilities: • Assist the Banquet Manager in the complete operation of the Banquet Department. • Prepare weekly schedules, following the daily allowed budget. • Coordinates every aspect of the Banquet staff during all food and beverage service. • Assist in training and counseling employees. • Assign banquet wait staff and set up staff with tasks before a function begins. • Manage banquet wait staff break and work schedules to make sure functions are properly staffed. • Supervise banquet staff to ensure they are operating effectively and efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction. • Manage banquet staff to ensure end-of-day clean up and preparations for the next day. • Manage room setup prior to function and breakdown. • Create a Captain’s report for any function with food or beverage. • Check setup of room with 100% accuracy to BEO within specified time period prior to function start time. • Check food and beverages with 100% accuracy within a specified time period prior to function start time. • Complete Food and Beverage Reports and Restaurant Checklists, when applicable. • Attend and participate in weekly BEO meetings and preconference meetings, when applicable. Qualifications: • Proven experience in banquet or event management, preferably in a hospitality setting. • Strong leadership and organizational skills. • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing client needs. • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of service and professionalism. Compensation: $19 - $20 hourly
