    LA Concrete Works, an established leader in architectural hardscape and decorative concrete seeks to fill the position of an Assistant Manager of Sales Operations for the Decorative concrete division. This person would be the primary day-to-day person for sales, client management and operations for the decorative concrete business, reporting to the manager, while assisting with the mainline concrete business as specified.

    Key Job Responsibilities

    Decorative Division (Manage)

    Serve as the first point of contact with incoming prospective clients for decorative via phone, email, Yelp and online websites. Effectively gather information, screen for qualified leads, educate clients on possible solutions, generate client interest, and secure appointments for onsite consultations.

    Assist field manager in select onsite job consultations with prospective clients

    Cultivate, build and manage relationships with prospective and current clients as the primary point of contact resulting in new and incremental sales, and high levels of client satisfaction

    Identify new sources for potential qualified leads, develop list of targeted clients to focus on, and proactively outreach to potential new clients to generate new business opportunities

    Consistently track all communications with prospective clients, monitor progress of communications, and updating next steps to move prospective clients down the funnel from inquiry to official bid

    Monitor the progress of all outstanding bids for new projects, follow-up and communicate with customers to convert bids to committed jobs

    Manage the calendar and scheduling for the decorative team to include onsite consultations for new jobs, timeline and schedule to complete awarded jobs, and communication with the clients and field manager

    As projects evolve, identify the need for change orders, complete and submit to clients for approval

    Effectively manage client concerns, expectations and issues with guidance as needed from the manager

    Proactively communicate with internal team members and external clients ensuring they are informed and aligned with the plan and key updates related to the job

    Consistently achieve monthly sales goal for bookings and billings for the decorative division

    Create one integrated database of clients with all contact information that can be used for all business development and update regularly

    Complete monthly and weekly reports that show the progress and performance of the decorative division

    Once decorative contracts are signed, gather and put together all job start documents for the field including proposals, submittals, and takeoffs

    Build knowledge and understanding of the decorative concrete business through visiting job sites, discussions, photos, etc.

    Assist with decorative marketing efforts as needed to include:

    Social media posts, Social media scheduling via Planoly, Email marketing, job photos for marketing use, other as needed.

    Other administrative support as needed

    Mainline Concrete Division (Support)

    For each new project, create the digital folder, download plans, put on calendar, and make sure all information is ready for the estimator

    Once concrete contracts are signed, gather and put together all job start documents for the field including proposals, submittals, and takeoffs

    Request quotes for concrete mix from outside supplier, and complete and send full submittal package to GC for approval

    Fill in specifications for time and material change orders, confirm receipt, and advise manager on follow-ups as needed

    Send and track all open change orders for the concrete business, confirm receipt, and advise manager on follow-ups needed to ensure they are signed and approved

    Other administrative support as needed

    Job Skills & Qualifications

    Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a sales and operations role

    Construction industry experience preferred

    College degree preferred

    Computer savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word

    Experience with using a CRM online system for sales and marketing (e.g. Hubspot) a plus

    Knowledge of digital marketing a plus (i.e. social media, website, etc.)

    Great customer service and ability to communicate and interact well with clients and co-workers

    Proven ability to generate new sales and convert prospective clients to contracts

    Ability to take initiative and action confidently and without hesitation

    Proactive in identifying key issues and challenges, and following up with prospective and current clients

    Results-oriented and accountable for achieving key performance metrics

    Fast learner and proactive in asking questions to clarify understanding and expedite learning

    Genuine interest in learning the concrete business and rapidly developing their professional skills

    Desire to expand and grow responsibilities over time

    Compensation

    $30-$35/hr
