    Job Description

    We are looking for someone with previous supervisory experience to join our team as an Assistant Manager.

    You are passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences through good, quality food and service. With previous experience, you are able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.

    Huey Magoo’s Assistant Managers provide leadership to team members and ensure each guest receives a fast, accurate and positive experience. Assistant Managers oversee all cooks, cashiers and supervisors and act as back-up for staff as necessary. Assistant Managers are responsible for managing systems such as training, food safety, customer/employee safety and security, cash handling and inventory management. Assistant Managers must be able to set targets, delegate tasks, resolve complaints, follow up and report to the General Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    Hospitality: Creates an emotional bond with the guest by making a connection with them. Recognizes opportunities to exceed a guest’s expectations, regardless of the circumstance. Responds to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism. Displays an energetic and caring attitude just as you would for a guest in your own home. They will remember this and it will lead to repeat visits. This type of interaction with the guest applies in the restaurant or on the phone.

    Proper Image: Maintains professionalism in personal appearance, conduct, and in the completion of duties by adhering to all of Huey Magoo’s policies and procedures. Holds all team members accountable for wearing the correct uniforms and conducting themselves professionally.

    Cash Accountability: Ensures all cash and credit cards payments are collected and secured in the prescribed procedures. Makes bank deposits as directed.

    Menu: Maintains a thorough knowledge of all menu items, prices, sales techniques, and ordering procedures.

    Food Quality and Presentation: Monitors food preparation methods, portion sizes, garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared to Huey Magoo's standards. Completes daily food safety checks including FIFO, secondary code dates, health inspections and actively monitors food handling in the restaurant. Investigates and resolves complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.

    Marketing and Promotions: Assist and implement marketing strategies as directed by the company in the restaurant as well as off-site promotions.

    Cleanliness: Responsible for ensuring the general cleanliness and appearance of the front and back of house, including dining room, condiment, drink area and takeout counter, kitchen, and restrooms before, during and at the end of shift.

    Safety Practice: Adheres to established safety rules to ensure customer and employee safety. May be responsible for opening and/or closing store. Maintains alertness to assist in the event of an accident or emergency.

    Team Management: Provides hands-on supervision to team members to ensure full operational compliance with all established procedures, company policies, safety rules, employment laws and regulatory guidelines. Performs responsibilities associated with hiring, training, conflict resolution, scheduling and work assignments, attendance tracking, and performance management.

    Training: Trains and coaches compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation, serving, and building maintenance in dining facilities. Assists in the roll-out of training and new or revised practices. Identifies training opportunities for team members, trains team members to communicate with customers to ensure we are providing a friendly experience.

    Inventory Control: Maintains food, equipment, inventories and keeps inventory records. Schedules and receives food and beverage deliveries, checks delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity. Reports shortages and other issues to the General Manager immediately.

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or higher preferred

    Previous management experience in a fast casual restaurant environment preferred

    ServeSafe certification a plus

    Experience with online ordering systems is a plus

    Ability to efficiently operate point-of-sale system to accurately enter orders and collect cash, make change and process credit payments.

    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously required

    Effective interpersonal skills required

    Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English; Multilingual a plus.

    Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
