The Assistant Manager/ Inside Sales is responsible for collaboration with the store manager on operations of the store and working together to deliver the best customer service and employee engagement. Working with others to ensure the sales/service center operates under safe conditions according to established policies and procedures . The Assistant Manager will deliver expected sales and customer service results through in-shop execution of programs and standards. This individual provides inspirational leadership and direction to all associates, and is responsible for maintaining a dynamic high performance team.

Job Summary
We are looking for a Assistant Manager / Service Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer relationship skills, strong service writer capabilities, strong process & procedure knowledge and previous management experience.
Every day is different in our busy Commercial tire & service service center! You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including overseeing a team of mechanics and tire technicians, overseeing a comprehensive vehicle inspection process, quickly and accurately writing service tickets as well as addressing customer inquiries, and managing inventory.
Responsibilities
Encouraging teamwork with a team of commercial service professionals to ensure a high level of vehicle service and customer satisfaction while maintaining profitability
Answer and handle incoming calls promptly and professionally
Acknowledge and serve walk-in/drive-in customers promptly and professionally
Customer Centricity, Servicing the customer above all else
Working with the outside sales team to insure we are delivering the best customer service
Ensure comprehensive vehicle inspections are performed in an accurate and timely manner
Ensure repairs and maintenance tasks are safely & thoroughly completed in a timely manner
Mentor employees on best practices for improving service, sales and customer service techniques
Oversee day-to-day operations of the service department
Manage the flow of paperwork, including work orders, inventory, invoices and maintenance records
Take after hours calls on rotation
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred
Great Multitasking skills
General knowledge of a POS computer software system for tire and service sales
Strong - self motivated work ethic to stay productive
Integrity, taking pride in our task and doing the right thing
Dependability, being on time and committed to achievement
Valid state-issued driver’s license and clean driving record are required
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and background screening
At least two years of experience as an service writer or service advisor is required. Experience as an automotive service manager/assistant manager is preferred
Deep understanding of automotive technology, automotive service technician job duties, and automotive repair services is required
