    Job Summary

    The Assistant Production Manager will support the day-to-day operations of our lawn care services, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality services to our customers. This role involves, first and foremost, ensuring daily/weekly production goals are appropriately managed and achieved. Also includes supervising field teams, coordinating schedules, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in lawn care or landscaping and possess strong leadership and organizational skills.

    Schedule Monday through Friday – 7:00 AM to Close This management position is responsible for opening the warehouse for technicians and will be able leave after all your team is returned for the day. We are a weather dependent industry, causing the occasional Saturday workdays.

    Key Responsibilities • Support Production Manager: Assist the Production Manager in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day lawn care operations to ensure efficiency and productivity. • Scheduling and Routing: Create and manage daily work schedules, route technicians to job sites, and monitor the progress of ongoing production to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. • Quality Control: Inspect job sites to monitor the quality of work being performed, ensuring that all services meet company standards and customer expectations. Provide feedback and corrective actions to field technicians when necessary. • Customer Relations: Address customer inquiries and service issues promptly and professionally. Work closely with the customer service team to resolve complaints and ensure customer satisfaction. • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of materials, chemicals, and equipment. Coordinate with suppliers to order necessary materials and ensure timely restocking. • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and repaired as needed. Schedule regular maintenance checks and manage relationships with service providers. • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols across all operations. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to educate staff on safe work practices and compliance with OSHA regulations. • Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, inventory levels, and crew performance. Prepare and submit reports on key operational metrics, including productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction. • Project Management: Assist in planning and executing seasonal lawn care campaigns, special projects, and large-scale service initiatives. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution. • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance service efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on industry best practices.

    Qualifications • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in lawn care, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related industry, with a focus on operations or production management. Experience in a supervisory role is highly desirable. [Pay Increase/Compensation Opportunity] -Educational Background: Associates/Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, agriculture, business management, environmental science, or a related field will include an increased starting pay. • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of lawn care practices, including weed control, fertilization, pest management, and irrigation systems. Familiarity with various lawn care equipment and their maintenance requirements. • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team. Experience in training, performance management, and conflict resolution. • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities. Capable of managing multiple projects and crews simultaneously while meeting deadlines. • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, management, and customers. Bilingual skills are a plus. • Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly address issues and implement effective solutions. • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using scheduling software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and other relevant technology tools. Experience with industry-specific software is a plus. • Certifications: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. Pesticide Applicator’s License or certification in relevant areas of lawn care is preferred but not mandatory. • Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.

    Compensation Pay range: $45,000-$55,000

    The pay and compensation package for the selected candidate will be dependent on prior experience and other above listed qualifications that will be discussed during the interview(s) with our hiring team. We also are committed to competitive pay scale and structure with the industry. Personnel on our team are paid via, hourly, salary, commission, and hybrid compensations plans, dependent on the employee's role and position in the company.
