We seek a dynamic and passionate instructor to teach our Chemistry for Health Sciences course. This online course is part of the science core requirements for our Bachelor's degree. As an instructor, you will be key in fostering a supportive and engaging virtual learning environment. You will guide students throughout the course, helping them connect the dots between chemistry and its applications in holistic health fields such as nutrition, herbal medicine, and aromatherapy.
We are looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable in chemistry but also dedicated to student success in an online setting. The ideal candidate will be approachable, communicative, and enthusiastic about supporting learners of diverse backgrounds as they build confidence in their scientific understanding and their ability to apply it in real-world wellness contexts. Depending on your background, you may be eligible to teach other courses at the college.
ACHS is a learner-centric institution, and faculty are integral to the success of ACHS students and the academic integrity of ACHS programs. Faculty are responsible for all instruction in ACHS classes. Faculty use their professional experience and education coupled with curriculum provided in ACHS-published course materials, required publisher textbooks, and supplemental study aids (such as online videos, botanicals, essential oils, and other lab supplies) to teach the stated learning outcomes.

ACHS requires applicants to have a terminal professional degree in a related field to meet all state and accreditation requirements. Due to the specialized nature of the curriculum where a terminal degree may not be available, such as aromatherapy, ACHS also considers the following credentials:
Undergraduate professors: Master’s degree with 18+ graduate credit hours in the field they are teaching from a school accredited by a U.S. Department of Education-recognized agency or a relevant terminal degree such as an ND, MD, DC, DO, or L.Ac. for healthcare courses with compensatory professional experience.
Graduate professors : Terminal degree in the field they teach from a school accredited by a U.S. Department of Education-recognized agency or a relevant terminal degree such as an ND, MD, DC, DO, or L.Ac. for healthcare courses with compensatory professional experience.
Compensation per semester varies by class size and level (undergraduate or graduate). Assistant professor compensation per course (undergraduate level) begins at $2,100 and is adjusted based on class size and level of course.
