    Division/Department Information

    The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking dynamic nurse educators for its anticipated undergraduate, pre-licensure nursing program. The proposed program will offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

    The College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member qualified to teach clinical and didactic courses for a planned traditional 4-year baccalaureate nursing program. In this role, the successful candidate would work collaboratively with nursing colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines, maintain clinical practice competence, remain actively involved in professional organizations, maintain scholarship in their field, and actively seek opportunities for and participate in faculty governance.

    The successful candidate is required to have a master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution. Preference will be given to those with experience using instructional strategies for traditional, online instruction (hybrid etc.), simulation (high fidelity and virtual, etc.), and two years of teaching experience (didactic and clinical practice) with students in a college/university nursing program and evidence of continuous professional development.

    Responsibilities

    • Teaching may include didactic as well as clinical courses using simulation, face to face, and some online instruction.
    • Primary areas of emphasis include teaching experience in Pediatrics as well as willingness to teach other areas of nursing education, i.e., foundations, health assessment, and pathophysiology as needed.
    • Administrative duties may include program recruitment, student advisement and mentorship, program evaluation activities and periodic curricular review and updates.
    • Participate in curriculum development and evaluation.
    • Evaluate student achievement of course objectives related to nursing knowledge and clinical practice.
    • Advise/mentor to students enrolled in the nursing program.
    • Fulfill the role of faculty member in teaching, scholarship and service.
    • Assume other responsibilities or duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education/Specialty, License/Certification

    • Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD or DNP) preferred.
    • Master’s degree in nursing is required.
    • Current clinical experience; national certification in specialty area of focus is preferred.
    • Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York or eligibility for RN licensure in New York state.
    • Experience teaching baccalaureate nursing students.
    • Experience in academic leadership.
    • Preference will be provided to candidates who demonstrate scholarship (e.g., publications, national presentations) and active participation in community and/or professional organizations.

    In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary range for this position is $110,000 - $115,000.     1. Assigns employees to workstations on a daily basis, signs off checklists to ensure client instructions are being followed, and uses Info Share to find work instructions and preorder necessary components.   2. Generates Meter 3600s for any mail that is being expedited to the meter.   3. Double verifies product that has been hand stuffed by Finishing Support associates.   4. Assists PCs with workflow from various departments, assisting with finding mail-sort paperwork, tickets, and other applicable production information.   5. Works with PCs to compare what is scheduled and what actually is processed.  Communicate all orders being worked on and orders that are coming on the shift change sheet.   6. Coordinates handling of special/invalid/no-mail/foreign mail pieces and samples by verifying their status and organizing their processing using information obtained from the project's Manufacturing Workbook and Production Log to reduce cycle time and ensure on-time delivery.   7. Trains finishing associates on processes associated with Manual Finishing including mail sort, WBS, ADF, and missing numbers.  8. May include other duties as assigned.
