  • Responsibilities

    We are a general contractor that works in the commercial and industrial construction industry. We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Assistant Project Manager to join our team and provide full-time support to the Project Manager and CEO. The Assistant Project Manager must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong time management, communication and customer service skills.

    Responsibilities

    · Assist the CEO, Project Manager and Superintendent with assigned projects

    · Help coordinate and manage the project from inception to completion

    · Carry out daily operational tasks in an effective and timely manner

    · Organize, file and maintain all current project documents and logs.

    · Maintain project management software to ensure field staff have all up-to-date documents and information.

    · Initiate, prepare, review, track and distribute contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings etc.

    · Building and maintaining excellent customer and vendor relationships

    · Assist in ensuring compliance with necessary specifications

    · Assist in creating and adhering to job schedules and timelines.

    · Assist in management of project permit process

    · Schedule meetings, conference calls and jobsite visits

    · Tracking and reporting project progress

    · Attend and/or lead project meetings

    · Assist with project close-out

    · Performing other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner

    Qualifications

    · Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in the commercial construction industry

    · Bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred

    · Knowledgeable in the field of commercial construction a plus

    · Knowledge of construction/project management software a plus

    · Ability to multitask and prioritize as you will be handling multiple projects at the same time

    · Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

    · Organized and detail oriented

    · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is a must

    · Must have excellent communications skills, excellent work ethic and moral integrity.

    · Self-starter who takes the initiative and works well independently
