    This General Contractor is beginning interviews for an aspiring PM that is familiar with commercial construction RFIs, Submittals, and basic shop drawing duties. The GC will train and foster their PM skills to accelerate their career-path in addition to providing a relaxed work/life balance in the Donelson / Nashville office. 

    ** This is not a remote or hybrid role-- this position is onsite in Nashville**

    Position Details:

    The Assistant Project Manager will work with the SPM on the entire construction process from Preconstruction through final completion.

    The APM works with the PM & Estimators and is responsible for assisting with the financial success of a project from beginning to completion.

    The APM is one of the points of contact for the owner during the project and coordinates with the SPM for client objectives & overall satisfaction.

     

    Brief Snapshot of Requirements:

     

    • Commercial addition/remodel/TI projects. Project valuation typically ranges between $100k-$15M. Some multi-use and office/retail.
    • Must have 1+ years or more of commercial PM construction experience.
    • Construction Management Bachelors degree required
    • 1yr Construction PM (Or Project Engineer, APM, Field Engineer) experience required
    • No specific software experience required.
    • Local candidates only - will not compensate for relocation or entertain remote/hybrid situations.


    Additional Attributes:

    • Recognize the main objective for each project is that its success is measured by client satisfaction, budget maintenance, profitability, and schedule adherence.
    • Must have a track-record for commercial construction projects over 1+ years.
    • Some proficiency in writing scopes of work into subcontract exhibits.
    • Ability to create a CPM schedule and modify it according to the needs of the project.
    • Understands the fundamentals of scheduling to provide assistance to project staff.
    • Able to partner with the project Superintendent and lead the project as necessary in an effort to maintain project schedule.
    • Understand how to diagnose and manage risk on projects.
    • Able to progress the project schedule with all of the players involved including company team members, Subcontractors, Owners, Owner Representatives and designers.
    • Must have current valid driver's license ( no DUI's in the past 36 months ).
    • Background checks are a required part of their hiring process.

    $60,000-$65,000 per year
