Job Summary We seek an experienced LEASING AND MARKETING PROFESSIONAL to join our thriving property management company. We manage over 300+ multi and single-family homes throughout the Metro Detroit Area. The LEASING AND MARKETING PROFESSIONAL is responsible for all aspects of marketing, leasing, day-to-day administrative duties, data entry, work order management as needed, property inspections, and quality control. Must be creative, have STRONG sales experience, and be willing to do what's necessary to improve occupancy records overall. As a successful LEASING AND MARKETING PROFESSIONAL, your goal is to achieve and maintain high occupancy rates while maximizing client profitability. Responsibilities
Bookkeeping:
Handle recordkeeping and reporting responsibility daily, weekly, and monthly.
Responsible for collecting, posting, and depositing revenue, including receiving, processing, and posting rents and security deposit payments as needed.
Monitor all utility bills for correct billing of occupied apartments through chargebacks, enforcing lease requirements and legal filings for non-compliance as necessary.
Process renewal letters and complete a follow-up with the resident while maintaining a monthly renewal log.
Organize and maintain resident files per company procedure
Leasing, Marketing, and Administrative Management
Show properties to prospective tenants and inform them of all available amenities, features, etc.
Host open houses
Qualify prospective tenants using background checks and references
Accept rental payments and provide receipts as needed
Maintain deep knowledge of the local market and housing trends
Negotiate leasing terms and close deals
Inspect properties regularly and schedule necessary maintenance/repairs
Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Proven working experience in property management for at least three years REQUIRED
High school diploma/GED required; College degree preferred, not required.
Property Management or Real Estate License preferred
Deep understanding of property management law and leasing practices
Up-to-date on the local real estate market
Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills
Experience with property management software REQUIRED
