A leading Commercial Real Estate Property Management firm is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to assist in the management of a portfolio of commercial office buildings in Alexandria, VA. We are seeking a motivated Assistant to support our Property Managers in a variety of key responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to the efficient management of our properties. Responsibilities include:
Property Management Support:
Assist the Property Manager in the operations of a portfolio of commercial office properties to achieve superior operational results and financial performance.
Learn Building Engines software for property management tasks.
Conduct follow-ups on quality control and perform building and leasing inspections.
Coordinate tenant move-ins/outs, ensuring Certificates of Insurance are collected, and communicate with necessary parties like Datawatch Systems and on-call staff.
Oversee tenant appreciation gifts and coordinate tenant signage for building directories and suites, including managing signage costs and updates during the lease term.
Assist with bid coordination, reporting, and contractor on boarding.
Maintain the Contractors Rules and Regulations booklet and a master list of all contractors and vendors servicing properties, with regular updates distributed to Property Managers.
Organize project bids, obtain pricing, and help ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Standardize the company’s Form Library on the web and scan contracts for each building.
Leasing Assistance:
Keep the company website and brochures up to date, including assisting with digital marketing efforts.
Install updated brochures on Vice President's iPad and keep Space Availability and Prospect Reports current.
Support marketing efforts for vacant spaces and maintain real estate licenses for the company.
Qualifications:
Prior work experience in real estate, customer service, sales, customer relations, and/or marketing.
Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel software.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate a professional and proactive attitude.
Customer service-focused, dependable, and self-motivated with a "can-do" approach.
Valid driver’s license
Benefits:
Compensation for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 per year based on experience and qualifications
