Assistant RN Program Director (RNPD) Location: California Company: Los Angeles Skills Academy (LASA)
Job Summary: The RN Program Director (RNPD) is responsible for managing the Nurse Assistant Training (NAT) program at LASA. This role involves recruiting, training, and managing instructors, ensuring program compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining quality standards. The RNPD will work closely with the Administrator to ensure successful program delivery and will serve as a technical resource for both instructors and the administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, retain, and manage NAT instructors.
Ensure program compliance with federal, state, and LASA policies.
Conduct onboarding, training, and performance evaluations for instructors.
Establish and maintain relationships with clinical sites.
Oversee the maintenance of program files and ensure accurate student records.
Teach NAT courses in emergency situations.
Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted RN license in California (or multistate, where applicable).
3 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in long-term care.
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
Familiarity with federal and state training regulations.
Ability to travel 30-40% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
BSN preferred, not required. ADN Accepted
Experience in adult education
Schedule: Part-time (up to 20 hours per week), with flexibility for evening and weekend work as needed. Growth opportunity to full time as soon as possible.
