As we continue to grow, we are seeking an individual with a solid foundation in the shipping and receiving profession to join our team to be our Assistant Shipping and Receiving Manager. The right person who possesses the work ethic and skills for this role will successfully complete our training program advance into a leadership role and manage the warehouse to maximize our efficiency and accuracy as we continue to grow. Responsibilities: • Efficiently and promptly pull and pack inventory orders. • Utilize UPS WorldShip, USPS, and FedEx software to process shipping labels. • Ensure the accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments. • Manage packing/shipping supplies inventory and request reorders as necessary. • Maintain detailed records of all shipped and received goods. • Conduct product deliveries to various local customer locations using company vehicles. • Obtain customer signatures on delivery tickets and provide receipts. • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move inventory within the warehouse. • Inspect inbound shipment deliveries for damage before acceptance. • Verify inbound shipment accuracy by reviewing purchase orders or shipping manifests. • Receive and check in deliveries and transfer stock items to shelves in the correct locations. • Keep the work area clean and organized, utilizing floor machines and cleaning equipment as needed. • Adhere to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures. Qualifications: • Valid state driver’s license in good standing is required. • Knowledge of UPS WorldShip software. • Ability to lift 75 pounds. • Excellent leadership and management skills. • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach. • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines and metrics. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Education: • High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: • At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse/shipping department setting is required. • Experience using UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and DHL Online. • Quality Control Inspector experience preferred. • Experience in lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives. Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly
