We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our team!
Responsibilities
* Oversee and make decisions related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, and quality control.
* Supervise work among assigned trades to ensure coordinated project operations.
* Procure tools and materials to align with work schedules.
* Resolve local project issues, including design clarifications, labor and equipment scheduling, and procedural concerns.
* Collaborate with supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to address construction challenges and improve methods.
* Manage site safety programs, ensuring subcontractor compliance with company standards and all applicable safety regulations.
* Develop project schedules, determine sequencing of work, and implement recovery strategies to maintain timelines.
* Communicate with owners, architects, and engineers to address and resolve field issues.
* Ensure work is completed in compliance with contract documents and approved specifications.
* May require travel between job sites or pickup/delivery of materials.
* Maintain accurate job records, including daily construction reports, time tracking, and safety documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ related experience training and/or experience. Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, drawings and specifications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and proficiency in EH&S applications. Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings specifications, scopes of work and project schedule. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
The work environment will be at a project site where conditions could vary and employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Some physical capability may be required (lifting/moving up to 50 lbs). The use of small tools may be required on occasion.
