    As an Assistant Swim Coach, you will report directly to the Head Coach. An Assistant Coach can carry out the vision of the Head Coach by conducting practices, motivating athletes, and providing students with proper stroke techniques. In this role, you will be coaching our Pre-Team level. These students are learning how to swim all four competitive strokes legally, as well as other competitive skills such as flip turns, open turns, dives, and underwater kickouts.

    Responsibilities for this role include:

    Ensuring safety by enforcing pool rules, observing swimmers, and responding to emergencies

    Report incidents and concerns to the Head Coach

    Provide first aid and CPR as necessary

    Attend training sessions and staff meetings

    Instruct students of ages 6-12 how to swim in a team setting as well as legal stroke technique

    Provide a safe, fun, and engaging class experience for students and parents

    Communicate with students, parents, and staff

    Keep the natatorium clean and tidy

    Requirements for this role include:

    High School Diploma or GED

    One year of swim coaching experience

    Previous competitive swimming experience (USA, High School, Summer League, Collegiate)

    CPR and Lifeguard certifications

    Ability to create a 45-minute swim workout

    Ability to stand and move around the natatorium for prolonged periods

    Ability to communicate with athletes and parents regarding training and the sport of swimming

    Ability to stoop and lift 20lbs

    Ability to perform any skill that is required of the swimmers
