QuistMD is an osteopathic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation clinic that values quality over quantity when it comes to our patients. We are seeking a Full-Time Assistant to the Medical Director that would enjoy supporting our Osteopathic Physician and help drive our mission to provide quality care through quality time.
More about the Role:
This is a great chance to gather shadowing hours for focused patient encounter time with a variety of medical conditions. The opportunity is a hybrid between a medical assistant and executive assistant role, with involvement in practice operations management. A medical assistant certificate is not required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Major in STEM is not necessary, but familiarity with musculoskeletal anatomy, basic chemistry, and basic physics is preferred.
2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
Typing Speed: > 70 wpm.
Excellent attention to detail and proactivity.
Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:
Following the physician to document evaluations and patient care.
Physician scheduling and time management.
Preparing the patient and treatment room for procedures.
Assisting the physician with charting, billing and patient emails.
Assisting the front desk with duties when needed (phone calls, appointment scheduling, assisting in medical record releases)
Liaison to external physician and imaging offices.
Assisting with coordination and preparation related to professional development, networking, speaking engagements.
The Following Experience/Certifications are a Plus:
Intermediate IT Knowledge
EMR familiarity.
Compensation:
$20-25 an hour
This is an excellent learning opportunity for a recent pre-medical graduate wanting to advance their knowledge of sports medicine, osteopathy, physical therapy, and musculoskeletal medicine, while developing a thorough knowledge of the business workings of an out-of-network clinic. The ideal candidate is someone on a gap year before medical school with strong science acumen, and eager to rapidly expand their clinical knowledge.
