Summary
The Associate Area Manager in Tampa, FL will oversee two Company locations. This role plays a critical support role in managing Jeremiah’s Italian Ice stores within a designated territory. Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the Associate Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned stores, collaborating closely with store managers to ensure alignment with Jeremiah’s Core Values, and implementing operational standards. This position is instrumental in supporting the strategic goals of the company by assisting in financial performance, people development, operational execution, and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time position requiring flexibility in hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
Essential Functions
o Partners with the Area Manager to support the development of store managers, fostering a talent pipeline ready for promotion within the territory.
o Promotes and models a 5-star customer service experience, reinforcing a positive team culture across stores.
o Supports the implementation of company initiatives, creating store-level action plans that align with operational and organizational objectives.
o Participates in team meetings, delivering updates on store performance, team development, and operational challenges.
o Provides feedback and guidance to Squad Members, working with store management to address training and development needs.
o Conducts regular check-ins with store managers and assists in staffing management as needed.
o Ensures compliance with applicable wage and hour laws for all team members, including minors.
o Monitors daily operations, providing hands-on support and guidance to store-level managers to meet operational goals.
o Conducts monthly store inspections to ensure adherence to health and safety standards, proper inventory management, and brand standards.
o Frequently visits each assigned store to review performance, address challenges, and support store management.
o Assists in planning and coordinating store repairs and maintenance alongside store management.
o Works with store teams to gather customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve customer experience.
o Supports the Area Manager in reviewing store-level financial performance, including sales targets, food costs, and labor expenses.
o Assists in analyzing financial data to identify trends and develop strategies to enhance store profitability.
o Coordinates with store-level managers on procurement processes, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with inventory standards.
o Communicates monthly financial performance summaries with store managers, supporting their understanding of financial metrics and bonus structures.
Travel Requirements – Primarily local travel to assigned stores within the designated territory. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail or hospitality setting.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Knowledge of financial reporting and performance analysis.
Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment.
Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
