Our ideal candidate has over three years of experience in a high-volume criminal defense practice in Florida. Responsibilities: • Perform as lead attorney for the firm's cases in Key West, Marathon, and Plantation Key. • Conduct comprehensive case analysis, develop defense strategies, and prepare clients for court. • Represent clients in all criminal court appearances, including pretrial conferences, hearings, plea hearings, pre-trial motions, and trials (excluding appeals). • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action. • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other staff members. • Draft documents, such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, plea agreements contracts. • Resolve cases efficiently by communicating effectively with prosecutors and clients. • Cultivate strong client relationships, providing empathetic, respectful communication and regular case updates. • Uphold the highest ethical standards in every case. Qualifications: • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar. • Minimum of three years experience in criminal defense within Florida, with proven skills in handling a wide variety of cases. • Strong courtroom experience with confidence in handling numerous criminal cases simultaneously. • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly in delivering compassionate client service. • Commitment to excellence, client satisfaction, and securing positive results. Compensation: $100,000 yearly
