Responsibilities: • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals • Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Ability to think creatively and strategically • Exceptional organizational skills, including time management • Stay up to date on legal authorities and case law • Speak with clients to determine case assessment Qualifications: • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients • Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA) • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Strong interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude • Admission to the California Bar • Experience in Unlawful Detainers preferred Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 yearly
