Full-service, rapidly growing boutique law firm is in search of a civil litigation associate attorney, 3-7 years of practice REQUIRED. Practice: commercial litigation, real estate & corporate law. Minimum requirements: • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas; JD years 2018-2022 • Ideally has experience drafting transactional documents such as contracts, consulting agreements, non-compete agreements, shareholder purchase agreements, and litigation documents such as pleadings and motions. • Must have conducted discovery, such as drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for admissions, requests for production, depositions, etc.= • Candidate MUST seek courtroom advocacy and full-scope trial preparation (through mediation/settlement). Responsibilities: • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis • Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence • Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks • Work closely with and provide leadership to administrative staff concerning client billing, client meetings and invoicing, as well as finalizing client projects Qualifications: • Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus • Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload Compensation: $110,000 - $150,000 yearly
