Our office is growing rapidly! Jolley and Jolley is seeking another Associate Attorney with at least 2 years experience in Utah Family Law to join our Sandy, Utah team. If you have less than 2 years experience we would still like to review your resume.

Jolley & Jolley began with a father and his son exploring the concept of working together in the law to emphasize and advance Fathers Rights in Utah. Over the years, we have seen the importance of the need for a law firm to fight for the rights of Utah Fathers as equal parents with valuable parenting skills that children need.
As part of our firm, you will represent clients in Family Law, draft legal documents, and advise clients on legal matters including, but not limited to: Divorce, Custody, Child Support, Paternity, Protective Orders, and Juvenile Court cases.
Salary is $120,000-$140,000 depending on experience. Additional benefits and compensation are also added to the base salary.

Responsibilities
Conduct legal research
Prepare for and attend legal proceedings and mediations
Provide legal counsel in conjunction with senior associates
Maintain detailed and accurate client records
Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients while also advising them on any issues relating to Family Law, Divorce, Custody, Child Support and Paternity, Protective Orders, and Juvenile Court cases
Have the ability to complete 130 billable hours per month
Communicate effectively and timely with clients
Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
Comply with all legal standards, regulations and deadlines
Maintain a professional attitude and attire
Qualifications
Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
Utah Bar Admission is required. Please also indicate any other bar admissions on resume
Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA)
At least 1 year of experience in Utah Family Law
Required to have experience with protective orders and juvenile court matters (experience filing via CARE is a bonus)
Experience in civil litigation and criminal defense is a bonus but not required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Deadline- and detail-oriented
Excellent organizational skills
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
Familiarity with Amicus Pro or other billing software
