Responsibilities: • Independently manage a personal caseload of misdemeanor criminal defense cases, representing clients from the initial consultation through resolution. • Prioritize constant client communication, ensuring clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the legal process. • Work collaboratively with a supportive team of attorneys and staff, fostering a cooperative and professional work environment. • Prepare and argue motions, conduct hearings, negotiate plea agreements, and try cases as needed. • Uphold the firm’s commitment to exceptional client service and ethical legal practices. Qualifications: • Experience Matters: Former or current prosecutors and public defenders are strongly encouraged to apply. Strict confidentiality will be maintained throughout the application process. • Legal Acumen: Familiarity with criminal court procedures and the rules of evidence is essential for success in this role. • Educational Background: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. • Licensed in Washington: Must hold an active license to practice law in Washington State and be in good standing with the state bar association. Compensation: $90,000 - $115,000 yearly
