Newport Beach firm seeking a full-time Litigation Associate. We specialize in civil litigation and Insurance defense. Medical Malpractice experience is a plus but not mandatory. We are a fast-paced firm, candidate must be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure. The working environment is in office with casual attire. In addition, we offer: • 401(k) and 401(k) matching • Dental Insurance • Health Insurance • Life Insurance • Annual Bonus • Paid vacation time • Paid personal time Responsibilities: • Conduct research and assess legal issues • Prepare for court proceedings • Appear at court as required • Prepare pleadings and discovery responses • Interview witnesses and cross-examination • Trial experience is a plus, but not required • Draft Oppositions/Motions • Correspond with clients and adjusters • Summarize depositions and medical records • Take and defend depositions • Negotiate settlements • Legal research and writing Qualifications: • Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the California State Bar • Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills • Maintain communication with clients and witnesses • Possess strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 • Must be able to appear in court in person and virtually • Have experience with pre-trial, trial, and post-trial proceedings in a medical malpractice case setting • Have the ability to work collaboratively and be a team player • Be motivated to learn and be open to growth opportunities Compensation: $99,000 - $199,000 yearly
