Position Summary:
St. Mark's School seeks an experienced, collaborative, and energetic Associate Chaplain and Religion Teacher to join the Religion Department in the 2025-2026 academic year. The School values flexible educators who possess an optimistic, growth-oriented mindset regarding learning, both for themselves and their students.
The Associate Chaplain assists with leading an informal, interfaith Morning Chapel twice a week; a formal Evening Chapel once a month; a voluntary Eucharist once a week; and other services as needed. This person also advises and supports student groups of various denominations and faiths including secular/non-religious, and provides pastoral support to all members of the St. Mark's community in their spiritual journeys and lives. Note that at St. Mark's, religion courses are taught as they would be at a secular college or university: in a critical, analytical, and non-sectarian manner. Educators with these characteristics and the desire to contribute to a vibrant boarding school community through coaching, advising, and residential life are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do as Associate Chaplain and Religion Teacher
As a St. Mark's faculty member, you will teach in the Religion department, advise three to six students, attend all-school and faculty-required events, and coach or lead co-curricular programming. Other key responsibilities are as follows:

Pay is commensurate with experience. For reference, please find the base salary bands for faculty members whose primary responsibilities are in the classroom below:
Years of experience between 31 and 40 years: $90,100 - $94,900
Years of experience between 21 and 30 years: $70,890 - $89,850
Years of experience between 11 and 20 years: $56,670 - $68,900
Years of experience between 0 and 10 years: $27,810 - $53,770
