    Job Description

    Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Associate Degree Nursing Instructor. Duties include classroom and clinical instruction. Integrity, innovative thinking, understanding of the rural community college, and the ability to work as a team is necessary.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Demonstrates a thorough and accurate knowledge of the field or discipline;
    2. Conducts class sessions with good judgment and professional behavior;
    3. Provides learning activities that meet course objectives;
    4. Shows a commitment to high student standards by encouraging student responsibility and ethical behavior and stressing consistency in coursework and attendance;
    5. Meets all classes promptly and regularly and begins and ends class on time;
    6. Keeps accurate records of attendance and grades and submits all reports and other requested information promptly and accurately;
    7. Stays current on appropriate instructional technology;
    8. Maintains discipline in the classroom;
    9. Maintains regular office hours to ensure accessibility to students and colleagues;
    10. Provides syllabi using the approved format and makes them available to students;
    11. Maintains confidentiality of student information;
    12. Compiles and analyzes assessment data and submits results to the assessment committee;
    13. Serves as sponsor and advisor for student clubs and organizations as appropriate;
    14. Actively supports recruitment and retention of students;
    15. Exercises good stewardship of college facilities and materials.

    SALARY/WAGE

    $49,348 or higher per year, depending on credentials.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • A current Kansas RN license and CPR certification is required.
    • MSN is required. Would consider a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, with a degree plan to obtain an MSN.
    • At least two years of experience in nursing practice.
    • Current liability insurance affirmation
    • Compliance with clinical facility immunization requirements.
