Qualifications
- At least 4-6 years of communications experience including wine, hospitality or luxury brand PR experience (*ideal but not required) within an agency or corporate environment.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Events or Hospitality
- WSET 1 or higher training preferred
- Has the confidence and ability to operate and staff events autonomously
- Has a genuine passion for the wine industry
- Demonstrates a passion for media relations and ability to secure branded results
- Skilled at event coordination and staffing
- Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Accurate and consistent, and is well-tuned into attention to detail
- Strong writing, research and presentation skills
- Self-motivated team player that rises to the occasion and takes ownership of projects; acts as a solution provider
- A creative and innovative mindset
- Strong understanding of social media platforms
- Knowledge of standard PR tools: MuckRack, PR Newswire/Businesswire, media monitoring services, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours as many events occur in the evening and/or on weekends with up to 25% travel to lead events
Pay Range: $85,000 - $90,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
