    Job Description

    Dentsu Creative Public Relations is looking for an Associate Media Relations Manager to serve clients across a range of industries. You will work with our team of media relations specialists and account teams to garner earned national and local media coverage on behalf of Dentsu Creative PR client brands.

    You will develop an understanding of client business and our goals to inform how you will build a bench of media relationships across verticals and support daily activities of the team. This will include development of media lists and pitch materials, pitching media daily to drive coverage, maintaining up-to-date media contact lists and editorial calendars, monitor breaking and trending news to look for opportunities to insert clients into the news cycle, compiling clip reports to develop client coverage recaps, conduct media audits, and contribute to Media Relations thought leadership materials development and reputation building across the division and the agency network.

    What You'll Do

    • Support daily media relations activities across client portfolio
    • Develop media lists
    • Nurture a wide array of reporter relationships
    • Pitch media
    • Pull clip reports and develop client coverage recaps
    • Project management of daily tasks across the Media Relations team
    • Support writing of media assets (press releases, blog posts, pitch notes, etc.)
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 1+ years of experience
    • College degree in public relations, journalism or related field
    • Well-versed in AP style with excellent writing skills
    • An interest in pop culture and staying ahead of trends
    • Willingness to 'live' pitch media in person and over the phone (including 'cold calls' to establish new relationships)
    • Some real-world work experience (i.e. public relations or media or PR agency internships)

    Additional Information

    The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000 - $83,375. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
