    Catalyst Law is a woman-owned boutique law firm specializing in trusts and estates, non-profit and business law, and taxation. As a certified B-corporation, Catalyst strives to build and maintain a team-oriented and client-focused legal practice. Our small and collaborative team finds joy in working with each other to meet and exceed client expectations. This position is based in our primary office, located in the heart of King City/Tigard, and will require regular visits to our office in Portland’s Pearl District while connecting with remote team members online. As a key member of our support team, the Associate Paralegal supports our paralegals and attorneys while fostering a seamless and efficient experience for clients. In this role, your primary responsibility is to serve as the initial point of contact for current and returning clients. This position will be a great fit if you enjoy developing rapport with clients of all ages and diverse backgrounds. In addition to client relations, this position is responsible for handling client matter management, correspondence, and production of draft documents. The Associate Paralegal enables the entire production team to meet and exceed client expectations. Your responsibilities require careful attention to detail and absolute devotion to accurate and timely information gathering, document production, and project management. To be successful in this role, you enjoy working independently and derive satisfaction from completing various levels of tasks, from project management to preparation of mailings. Responsibilities: • Support management of client relationships, ensuring consistent and effective communication internally and externally, from the preparation of engagement letters for new clients to closing client files at the conclusion of each matter • Monitor and track internal workflow, including timely completion of client deliverables • Organize and manage docketing (court, administrative, and other deadlines) • Prepare draft documents, including court pleadings, briefs, and motions, using document automation software • File court documents electronically • Keep team members appraised of meeting schedules and upcoming deadlines • Tag team with client services team to answer phone calls, process mail, update client data in the firm database, • Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed to ensure operational efficiency Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required • Experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretary preferred (Trusts Estates practice a bonus! ); previous customer service or sales experience necessary • Impeccable and concise writing skills • Proficient with computers and office software, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Adobe, CRM, and case management software; ability to troubleshoot issues and willingness to learn new software; keeps up to date on software, including self-training • Derives satisfaction from the identification of opportunities to improve client experience through the implementation of such changes • Communicates effectively with clients and team members, while adjusting approach depending on the needs of the individuals Compensation: $56,000 - $72,000 yearly
