The Role You will Play
The Associate Actuary will provide pension consulting/actuarial services for various types of pension plans.
This role will reconcile and review pension valuation results including review of liabilities, sample lives, detailed gains/loss analysis, pricing tools and projection models.
The Associate Actuary is entrusted to manage projects on-budget and on-time.
Community Highlights
This role can be based within the following areas Greater Metropolitan Philadelphia; Mount Laurel, NJ; New York City, NY; and McLean, VA.
Travel for client meetings required.
Background Profile
4+ years of pension actuarial experience
Expertise with all aspects of pension plans - single employer/ multiemployer and/or public sector
Working knowledge of Taft Hartley
Proficient in pension plan actuarial valuations including accounting reports, liability determination, funding analysis
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex actuarial issues clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience
Preferred experience in Proval, Access, SQL, and/or JAVA
FSA or ASA with interest to continue on to FSA, required
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university
