Job Description
NBCU Local is currently seeking an experienced bilingual Spanish/English speaking Associate Producer/Editor to produce all aspects of projects from conception to air for commercials, branded entertainment, specials, syndicated programming and various other short and longform media for the businesses of NBCU Local Media.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Associate Producer/Editor, camera operator, and editor with the proven ability to produce a variety of productions in collaboration with clients and agencies. Additionally, this Associate Producer/Editor will have After Effects experience, as well as production management experience in linear and digital series, including scheduling and budgeting ability. Responsibilities:
The bilingual Spanish/English speaking Associate Producer/Editor must be an expert collaborator, with the strong leadership and management skills required to take ownership of demanding projects and shows. The Associate Producer/Editor will be expected to comfortably lead creative discussions with brand clients and collaborators. The ideal candidate understands the current landscape of branded content, is up to date with camera and edit technology, and is constantly innovating and pushing the creative to speak to the current state of the world.
The Associate Producer/Editor will be expected to operate the main A-Camera in the field while simultaneously producing and directing talent and crew. The candidate must be comfortable leading discussions with brand clients and collaborators, writing, booking, editing, graphics work, research: any assortment of these skills are required for all assigned productions. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Travel is often required.
Producing duties will include: collaborative creative development of the project’s vision, client interaction, location scouting, preparing relevant agreements and releases in conjunction with legal, coordinating preproduction communication, creation of call sheets and relevant crew information, oversight of on-set production, cost accounting, editing, and review and assessment of work product to ensure all team notes have been addressed.
