Assist in the production of interviews—scheduling, logging tape, organizing files, and preparing transcripts
Cut rough drafts of episodes, segments, or promotional materials as assigned
Help maintain editorial calendars, episode outlines, and show archives
Pitch story ideas and contribute to team brainstorms across all shows
Track tape, music, and archive usage, and assist with rights clearances as needed
Take direction from senior producers and editors, adapting quickly to changing priorities
Stay current on San Francisco news and culture to identify potential story leads and collaborators
Assist with identifying social short-form video cutdowns and editing them

1–3 years of professional experience in podcasting, radio, or digital audio
Solid understanding of basic audio production and editing workflows
Experience with Pro Tools, Descript, or similar audio editing software
Experience with social video and video editing in Premiere or similar editing software
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills
Ability to juggle multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment
Enthusiasm for local journalism and audio storytelling
Willingness to pitch in across projects and learn from feedback
