    Job Description

    The Cloud Enablement and Acceleration team plays a critical role around the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Cloud Control Planes for AWS, Azure, and GCP. The Control Planes consists of account / subscription / project factories with tooling, automation, and guardrails to help teams utilize the cloud in an easy and safe manner extending to governance , identity management, network enablement and observability of the clouds.

    We are looking for an enthusiastic Associate Software Engineer to join our experienced Cloud Control Plane team. You will report directly to the Sr Engineering Manager and assist with developing designs for cloud observability.

    Your primary focus will be to:

    • Learn the tools and how our customers use them
    • Developing dashboards for insights
    • Work with our users, as well as senior developers on the team, who will provide coaching and mentoring

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

    • Related experience in software development, or an equivalent combination of education/experience, internships and/or in-school projects
    • Interest in building production-grade, cloud-native software with hands on experience in cloud automation
    • Experience with OO Design Principles and Patterns
    • SQL
    • Familiar with the concepts of NoSQL (DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis) and Relational DBs (AWS RDS, MySQL, or PostgreSQL)
    • Knowledge of databases and operating systems, working knowledge of Data models and Database technologies

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education, experience, and training in Computer Science or a related field, such as IS, IT, or Analytics
    • Exposure to designing and building dashboards in Observability platforms such as DataDog or Splunk
    • Experience in developing applications in a public cloud (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure)
    • Experience in serverless and event-driven architecture and building REST web services, with additional knowledge of OAUTH, SSO, Swagger/OpenAPI, mock endpoints, and global availability helpful

    • Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.

    Salary range: $60,000 - $90,000
