  • Responsibilities

    HCT seeks an experienced professional for an interim Associate Vice President, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement at a health system in Chicago. The AVP's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Being accountable for the strategic vision and execution of sourcing practices that drive optimal value and efficiency across the health system
    • Oversees non-labor expense management and leads the supply chain’s core components, including Procure to Pay (P2P), supply chain finance, systems, contract lifecycle management, and digital transformation
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sourcing and procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
    • Lead complex contract negotiations, securing favorable terms that provide value and mitigate risk. Implement and oversee a robust contract lifecycle management process
    • Drive innovation within the sourcing function by leveraging technology, analytics, and best practices. Employ Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline processes and increase efficiency
    • Lead the P2P cycle in collaboration with the accounts payable department, ensuring seamless transactions and cost-effectiveness

    Requirements:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Hospital Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred, in fields such as business, supply chain, or a healthcare-related specialty
    • Experience: At least 10+ of relevant work experience; 5+ years of experience in a Supply Chain leadership role, with preferred experience in ERP, automations, P2P, and/or finance; Experience with project management processes and the ability to initiate and complete projects
    • Computer Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills, with the ability to learn new software programs; EPIC and Workday experience preferred
