Position Title: Associate Worship Pastor Campus: Central Support
Reports To: Lead Worship Pastor Status: Full Time, Exempt
Position Summary: The Associate Worship Pastor is responsible for helping to foster a healthy and thriving worship culture in a large, multi-site church. This includes providing worship support to all campuses and ministries, as well as leading worship and providing direct support to worship leaders, servant ministers, and musicians.
This position is connected to the faith and ministry of the church and moves forward the vision of Central Christian Church.
Responsibilities:
Lead worship onstage a minimum of 46 weekends a year (Holidays included
Lead worship at Central campuses as scheduled 3-4 times a month – primarily at Gilbert campus
In addition to Sunday services, help lead in CYA or CSM at least once a month
Contribute to the planning and execution of weekend services
Participate in song selection
Resource weekend teams
Work closely with other ministry departments to create and execute weekend and holiday services
Lead and develop volunteers
Manage leaders at other campuses and give them the necessary resources to develop their campus teams
Oversee auditions for all campuses
Resource lyrics for all campuses and adult ministry events (Rooted, Staff Meetings, GLS, etc.)
Oversee team nights for all campuses
Assist Lead Worship Pastor and Music Director with song arrangements
Oversee background vocal resourcing
Schedule vocal teams
Assign song leads for their campus
Support the vision and direction of Central Christian Church and the Creative Arts Team, and help create and carry out the vision of the Central Worship ministry under the direction of the Lead Worship Pastor
Participate in “all staff” events
Support other ministries with worship
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
Must be able to communicate with and inspire a team of creatives
Ability to work independently within the scope of assignment; Manages time and prioritizes duties effectively
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and to be flexible in executing last-minute weekend changes
Ability to work cooperatively as a team member
The ability to sing and speak on stage is required
Experience in a large church is preferred

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to fifty pounds.
