Description:This position is a hybrid role between doc control( 70%) and assisting with Health & Safety(30%). Candidate will be responsible to organize, maintain, audit, and improve the documentation system for the manufacturing and distribution buildings. This includes but is not limited to work instructions, forms, training records, drawings, check sheets, and control plans. This includes both the quality and environmental systems. •Sort and maintain the electronic and digital files for all documentation ensuring only released and approved documents are available to the manufacturing processes. •Standardize the format and storage of all documentation to be consistent and accurate. •Work closely with the Engineering and MIS departments to improve the distribution and use of all forms of documentation integrating digital forms, signatures, and processes where they add value. •Work with Human Resources to maintain training records and identify training changes based on the documentation updates. •Audit and update all records to ensure compliance with the IATF, ISO, and customer requirements. •Design and maintain record filing systems and locations as needed. •Make changes to all the documents using a standard system and database which tracks changes for traceability concerns. •Ensure the department approvals and reviews of new documents and changes are completed in a timely and accurate manner. •Distribute paper and digital copies as needed with the primary goal of accurate document control but incorporating technology and new systems wherever possible. •Assist the Engineering and sales departments to maintain customer, quality, environmental, and safety standards ensuring all copies are up to date. •Develop retention policies for both digital and paper documents in all systems.Health & Safety responsibilities will include reporting on environmental and green house gas, communications to the team, regulatory responsibilites,Skills:Document control, Database management, computer skills, Administrative supportTop Skills Details:Document control, Database management, computer skillsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Must Have: Degree, computer savvy, Excel, Word, PDF, database, website, team playerPreferred: Familiar with DocuWareExperience Level:Entry LevelPlease send resumes to camsmith@astoncarter.com or call (734)637-0832.
