Overview:
The Valor Middle School Vex Robotics Program Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Vex Robotics program. This role involves teaching 5th - 8th and 9th – 12th grade students the fundamentals of Vex Robotics, including basic tactics, strategies, and techniques. The Vex Robotics Leader will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the Vex Robotics program, fostering a love for robotics, and ensuring the overall success of the program. The Vex Robotics Program Leader will work collaboratively with students, parents, school staff, and the FACE team to create an enriching and inclusive Vex Robotics experience.
There are 26,000 VEX Robotics teams around the world, and VEX Worlds extends 800 invitations to the most deserving teams. Valor Collegiate Academies VEX team was selected, competed, and finished 18th out of those 800 teams. AGC has been selected to hire Program Leaders for their upcoming season.

Role-Specific Responsibilities:
● Lead, attend, and participate in all weekly club meetings and competitions, ensuring
effective use of available resources, space, and staff.
● Collaborate with the FACE Team to determine optimal weekly meeting times, additional
meetings, and annual competition schedules.
● Meet regularly with the Afterschool Programs Manager to discuss best practices and
competition schedules.
● Report to the Afterschool Programs Manager regarding all fundraising efforts, purchases,
expenses (e.g., competitions, travel, supplies), and any contracts or agreements with third
parties.
● Develop and implement strategies to increase student enrollment and retention in the
Vex Robotics program.
● Foster an environment that elevates skill levels and enthusiasm for Vex Robotics among
participants.
● Ensure that scholars involved in the Vex Robotics club learn from their competition
experiences and have fun in the process.
